Nicol Sokol Wins Millennium & Copthorne Diamond

LONDON, UK, February 22, 2006. Nicol Sokol celebrates winning the top prize in a competition organised by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.

From thousands of entries, hers was the first to be drawn by Chief Executive Tony Potter and Nicol was able to take home to Blandford Forum in Dorset a sparkling 0.43 carat gem destined to be the centre piece of the engagement ring that she has recently been given by her fianc'e Philip Sellick.

Nicol, said "I entered the competition in the hope of winning, as we had bought the ring without a stone in it." The diamond was presented at a special lunch held at Turner Mayfair, Brian Turner's restaurant at the Millennium Hotel, London Mayfair. In addition to the top prize there were 25 Moet & Chandon prizes in the "Sparkling Christmas" draw.
