Jameson Enjoys Marketing Award

. October 14, 2008

ATLANTA, GA, February 23, 2006. Jameson Inns has received the Marketing Award for Excellence by the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, in association with the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The regional hotel chain was awarded Grand Winner status by the members of the Georgia State University Marketing RoundTable, which consists of business leaders and marketing experts from some of the area's largest and most recognized corporations including BellSouth Corp., Cingular Wireless, Coca-Cola and UPS.

"It's an honor to be recognized for this award, especially since we were competing with some of the world's greatest brands," said Tom Kitchin, CEO of Jameson Inns. "This program aligns our customers with our product. By developing our Stock Awards Program, we have identified a way to give our customers a tangible reward that has no blackout dates or availability issues."

The award was based on launch of the company's innovative customer loyalty program, Jameson Stock Awards, which awards guests of the hotel chain with shares of Jameson common stock.

The program has been very popular with travelers all over the country, Kitchin said.

"Our stock award program has been very well received by business travelers and others looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay at a great value. It is a different kind of loyalty program, and I think that's what makes it so appealing," Kitchin said.

This was the 14th annual presentation of the MAX Awards and Jameson was among eight finalists selected from 35 entries.

The award winners were announced February 17 at a breakfast held at the TWELVE Hotel in Atlanta Station, Ga. Proceeds from the event went towards GSU's Outstanding Minority Student Scholarship fund.
