Norman Higashi Named Resident Resort Manager of Makaha Resort & Golf Club
OAHO, HI, June 29, 2005. Hawaii hotel veteran Norman Higashi has been named Resident Resort Manager of the Makaha Resort & Golf Club on the sunny west shore of Oahu. His responsibilities include oversight of daily operations for the 173-room resort, meeting facilities and food beverage areas, according to Managing Director Geoff Graf.
Higashi has more than 25 years of hospitality management experience with such notable properties as Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, Outrigger Reef on the Beach, Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotel, Turtle Bay Resort and several others.
The Makaha Resort & Golf Club is a full-service resort that blends the richness of old Hawaii with contemporary hospitality and world-class golf. Opened in 1969, this tranquil resort enclave features abundant open space and sweeping ocean views framed by the rugged contours of Makaha Valley. Guest rooms are located in low-rise, island style resort cottages with unobstructed mountain and ocean views.
