Area Manager Announced for Kor Hotel Group's Southern California-Based Viceroy Properties
Vincent Piro Promoted to Area General Manager and Warren Schwartz Promoted to Area Executive Chef
June 2005 (Los Angeles) John Arnett, President of the Los Angeles-based boutique-hotel operator Kor Hotel Group, is pleased to announce two recent area promotions. Vincent Piro has been appointed Area General Manager of Kor Hotel Group's Viceroy-brand properties and Chef Warren Schwartz has been appointed Area Executive Chef for the same.
In making the announcements Arnett said: "Vincent is a talented veteran of luxury hospitality and has done remarkable work for us as General Manager of our flagship property, Viceroy Santa Monica. We look forward to having his insights and expertise benefit each of these distinguished properties, as well as play an instrumental role in the overall development of Viceroy's identity as a brand.
Vincent Piro joined Kor Hotel Group as General Manager of Viceroy Santa Monica in 2002, with an already distinguished, 20-year career in the hospitality industry at a number of design-oriented and boutique properties. Prior appointments include General Manager for Starwood Hotels and Resorts' W Hotel New York and Ian Schrager's four-star Paramount Hotel, as well as Hotel Manager for the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood.
Chef Warren Schwartz joined Kor Hotel Group in 2004 as Executive Chef at Whist Restaurant in Viceroy Santa Monica. Immediately infusing its kitchen with his own sophisticated culinary creativity, Schwartz propelled the restaurant, and its companion Cameo Bar, to a new level of critical prestige.
"Chef Warren's exceptional skills in improving the quality, consistency and execution of the food at Viceroy Santa Monica have made him an invaluable addition to our team," said Arnett. "Extending this standard of excellence to both Viceroy properties is pivotal in establishing our distinctive boutique collection in a competitive market."
