Starwood Promotes Siegel to CAO
WHITE PLAINS, NY, March 27, 2006. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has named Kenneth S. Siegel to serve as chief administrative officer. Siegel, who joined Starwood in 2000 as executive vp and general counsel, reports to Starwood CEO Steven J. Heyer.
In his new position, Siegel will continue to oversee the company's legal and government affairs, while assuming new areas of responsibility including human resources, labor relations and compliance. He will also continue to advise Starwood's Board of Directors on legal matters.
Prior to joining Starwood, Siegel was the senior vp and general counsel of Cognizant Corp. and its successor companies. In other experience he served with Baker & Botts LLP; O'Sullivan Graev & Karabell LLP; and Cravath Swaine & Moore.
