. October 14, 2008

MEXICO CITY, Mexico, March 29, 2006. The Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa will re-open on October 1, 2006 following an extensive $25 (USD) million redevelopment project that will re-position the resort as a five-star luxury property, according to Grupo Presidente, operators of Presidente InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.

The exclusive resort will boast completely redesigned rooms and suites, featuring luxurious furnishings and wide-screen plasma televisions. Grupo Presidente has decided to reduce the property's total room inventory from 253 rooms to 220 rooms, allowing resort staff to provide an even more personalized level of service. A new room category, Ocean Suites, has also been created. These opulent one and two bedroom suites will provide guests unparalleled views of the Caribbean Sea.

The Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa, which has always been the property of choice for discerning travelers who love to dive and snorkel, will include an expanded "Scuba Du" dive and watersports facility, ideal for first-time divers and certified divers. The resort, located on nearly 1,000 feet of Cozumel's most prized white sand beach, is just minutes from the magnificent Palancar Reef, part of the second largest barrier reef in the world, making the island one of the world's top snorkeling and diving destinations.

A new lobby designed with guest convenience in mind will feature individual desks for check-in. The resort will also add a golf putting green, a second "adults only" pool and bar, a renovated "Chiqui Club" for children, and a courtyard featuring retail shops and new tennis courts.

The entrance area will feature a new road lined with newly planted lush vegetation and several fountains. The resort's main restaurant, Alfredo di Roma is being completely redesigned and will feature a new bar area as well as a private room with its own terrace. The resort's Caribe~no Restaurant will be completely new and will include a lounge area for guests and a spectacular bar with inspiring views of the Caribbean Sea.

"With the dramatic additions and enhancements that have been made to the property, we are confident that the Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa will emerge as one of the top luxury resorts in the Mexican Caribbean," said Mr. Carlos Behnsen, Director of Marketing, Grupo Presidente.
