Live the Pirate's Life at Nassau's British Colonial Hilton
Beachfront Hotel Launches Pirates Escape Package
MIAMI, FL, April 13, 2006. British Colonial Hilton Nassau is celebrating the upcoming return of some popular silver screen buccaneers. The eagerly-anticipated sequel to "Pirates of the Caribbean" hits theaters this July, but guests can begin their own pirate adventure now with the hotel's "Pirates Escape" package.
Filmed in the Bahamas, "Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3" bring to life the islands' historic pirate past. Known as a pirate haven during the late 1600s and early 1700s, the Bahamas was home to the most notorious pirates of all time, including Nassau's own Blackbeard.
Guests begin their Pirates Escape by checking in at the British Colonial Hilton, built on the site of what was once the infamous Blackbeard's residence, Old Fort Nassau. Evidence of the old fort, which dates back to 1697, lingers. A replica of the well Blackbeard used for his water supply is still on property.
Before dashing off to their room, guests can stop by Blackbeard's Cove Bar to enjoy a mug of grog+, a pirate's favorite rum drink, and pirate-themed surroundings. The Pirates Escape* package is available now through Sept. 30, 2006, with a starting rate of $150*, and features:
Standard Accommodations
Welcome drink at Blackbeard's Cove Bar+
Daily Breakfast
Pirates theme welcome amenity
Tickets to the Pirates of Nassau Interactive Museum
