GTI's New Training Program

ORLANDO, FL, April 27, 2006. Global Travel International (GTI), the world's largest home-based travel agent network, recently introduced a new educational workshop for its Independent Travel Agents. Taking place bi-weekly in cities across the country, GTI has received unanimously positive feedback from its Getting Started Workshops, with Agents learning how to get their home-based travel businesses off the ground and become profitable quickly.

Utilizing small class sizes and expert instructors, GTI has created a setting for Agents to learn, ask questions, interact with each other, and get one-on-one help in an environment conducive to learning. Getting Started Workshops are taught by industry-leading instructors with firsthand experience as top-producing Independent Travel Agents.

Topics covered during these one-day Workshops include:

What to sell and how to make money

Finding qualified prospects

Basic marketing strategies

Cruise and land vacations

How to book travel products

Since the Getting Started Workshops began in February 2006, 100% of evaluations reveal that the course provided a robust and comprehensive platform for the Agents to gain the knowledge to be successful. Additionally, workshop participants are outselling and earning non-attending agents by more than four to one.

Whereas most course participants are local GTI Agents who attend workshops in their own cities and towns, others travel for this educational opportunity. For instance, Club Med(R) Sandpiper in Port St. Lucie, Florida, will host an upcoming Getting Started Workshop in May 2006. The workshop will be spread over three days instead of one and include group activities as well as free time for students. In doing so, GTI hopes to ensure an outstanding experience for all Agents who attend while raising awareness of the Club Med product. GTI has planned a series of workshops with a variety of other major suppliers who will participate and provide further product education.

In addition to Port St. Lucie, other host cities for upcoming Getting Started Workshops in 2006 include Los Angeles (June 10), Denver (June 24), Boston (July 15), Columbus (July 29), Nashville (August 12), Seattle (September 9) and Charlotte (September 23).

The Certified Vacation Specialist (CVS) Seminar - GTI's CVS Seminar is a three day rigorous course conducted by seasoned GTI educators and marketing experts with extensive travel industry backgrounds. Participants learn how to market themselves, create their own business plan, capitalize on group sales, outsell their competition, up sell, and much more.

Global Tutor Training On-Demand - This innovative program provides GTI Agents with a true online learning experience in an environment that allows them to learn at their own pace, whenever they want. Welcome sessions walk each Agent through their new GTI Agent Welcome Kit, help them set up their personalized ResMaxTM travel booking website, and demonstrate how to book travel.

Teleconferences - Designed to help GTI Agents improve their product and destination knowledge and develop their sales skills, these weekly Teleconferences are hosted by GTI's own experts alongside representatives from leading travel suppliers. Recent Teleconferences have featured Carnival Cruise Line, CSA Travel Protection, Royal Caribbean International, Holland America, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Sandals, Travel Impressions, Club Med and Trafalgar.

Ship Inspections - Ship Inspections provide tours of some of the most magnificent vessels afloat, and encourage GTI Agents to learn fascinating facts that will help them sell more cruises and increase commissions.

Familiarization (FAM) Trips - FAMs include cruises, tours, packages and special airline deals so GTI Agents can familiarize themselves with different travel destinations and suppliers. In many cases, FAMs are offered based on an Agent's productivity and selling potential.

CruiseCollegeTM - This popular training opportunity lets GTI Agents combine education with fun. During CruiseCollegeTM, Agents receive exclusive product and travel training while enjoying a full cruise at reduced rates.
