Benchmark Appoints Todd Gillespie Director of Sales & Marketing Bedford Springs
HOUSTON, TX, May 5, 2006. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Todd Gillespie as director of sales & marketing for the historic Bedford Springs Resort. The landmark property, situated on 2000 wooded acres near Bedford, Pennsylvania, within a two-hour drive from Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington, DC, dates to 1798. The property has served seven US Presidents, including James Buchanan, who used it as his Summer White House. Ellen Sinclair made the announcement.

Mr. Gillespie was previously director of sales & marketing for Stonewall Resort, a Benchmark Hospitality property located near Roanoke, West Virginia. While there he was instrumental in establishing the property as a popular resort and meetings destination. He served in the same position for Glade Springs Resort of Daniels, West Virginia, when the property was managed by Benchmark.
Gillespie held the title of national sales manager at The Greenbrier, the landmark property located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Before this appointment, he was director of sales for the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort of Cumberland, Maryland.
Earlier in his career, Todd Gillespie was national sales manager for the renowned Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa of Farmington, Pennsylvania. He began his career in hospitality as sales manager at the Lakeview Resort and Conference Center, located in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Mr. Gillespie is a member of several professional associations, including Meeting Professionals International; the Society of Association Executives Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia Chapters; and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. He is relocating to Bedford, Pennsylvania.
