Philip S. Harris Promoted to GC and CEO, Shilo Inns

PORTLAND, OR, May 1, 2006. Shilo Inns, the Portland-based hotel chain, has announced that Philip S. Harris has been promoted to General Counsel and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Harris, who joined the company in August 2005 as Co-General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer, will take over from 30-year Shilo veteran, John Kneeland who retired, April 30, 2006.

"Growth, including the ongoing construction of the brand new 160 room Full-Service Shilo Inn Suites Hotel, in Killeen Texas, is a big part of our mission in the coming years," says Mark Hemstreet, owner of Shilo Inns. Mr. Harris comes to Shilo with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and the legal profession. He graduated with honors from Cornell's Hotel School and received his law degree cum laude from Lewis & Clark School of Law.
