Property offers additional ideas for groups to experience region's wine
MONTVALE, NJ, May 11, 2006. Supporting Connecticut's reputation for fine wines and beautiful vineyards, Dolce Norwalk was recently honored into Wine Spectator "2006 Restaurant Awards Program," putting its restaurant in the company of some of the most exclusive dining spots in the world. Restaurants which earn the distinction meet fine dining expectations.
Dolce Norwalk's Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence" recognizes a commitment to offering an exceptional wine list, which also complements the restaurant's menu in both price and style and offers a sufficient selection of quality producers. Restaurants receiving this award typically offer at least 80 selections. Created in 1981 to encourage restaurant operators to take wine more seriously, the awards program comprises a three-tiered award system. The judging panel was comprised of wine aficionados from around the world. Dolce Norwalk will appear in the magazine's August 31st issue: "Best Restaurants in the World for Wine Lovers."
"We are absolutely thrilled to be named a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recipient," said Chris Capiris, food and beverage manager at Dolce Norwalk. "It reaffirms Dolce's dedication to offering a complete culinary experience - from the freshest ingredients, to the delicate preparation, to approximately 100 of the finest wines from around the world.
Wine tasting is a major part of the experience at Dolce Norwalk, not just at the restaurant.
