PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos, May 23, 2006. Located directly on 600 feet of the white-sand Grace Bay Beach in the Turks & Caicos, Phase III of The Alexandra Resort's expansion is now complete. An all-suite, full service vacation resort, The Alexandra Resort finished the addition of two new luxury accommodation buildings to its property, each featuring ocean views in every suite, and combines exceptional value with extraordinary quality. A renovated restaurant, The Orchid, and additional hotel facilities also await hotel guests at The Alexandra Resort.

Slated for completion in the spring of 2007, Phase IV of The Alexandra Resort's expansion is underway. Phase V will begin winter of 2007 with plans for an attractive reception area, additional suites, another swimming poll and poolside caf'e, a gourmet restaurant, boutiques, convenience store, business center, meeting rooms and a full service, upscale spa.

"We are extremely excited to welcome hotel guests to stay in our new accommodations at The Alexandra Resort," notes recently appointed General Manager Greg Claytor. "We pride ourselves on having our guests enjoy their visit, and believe the understated luxury of our property makes each visitor feel at home, no matter how long they stay."

The two new buildings convey utter luxury in each spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom ocean view suites. With expertly designed modern interiors, suites offer a combination of king, queen and twin beds, Egyptian cotton linens, expansive ocean view or beachfront private balcony or patio, fully equipped stainless-steel kitchen with granite breakfast bar. Also included are one to 2.5 bathrooms with twin-sink granite vanity and walk-in shower; teak furnishings and high speed Internet access.

Popular local chef, Livingston Lightbourne (affectionately known as Winkey), who recently joined The Alexandra, heralds the renovation of the resort's beachfront and poolside restaurant, The Orchid. Chef Winkey redesigned the menu to feature international cuisine with a touch of island flavors. Restaurant management is guided by Norbert Lange whose experience with four and five star properties in both the Caribbean and Europe lead to unprecedented levels of service for each diner's experience. The open-air seating area has been expanded to accommodate additional guests. The restaurant's new dining deck with bar offers the closest waterfront table service on Grace Bay Beach and is an ideal spot for sunset cocktails. The Orchid serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 8am to 9pm daily.

To make every guest's experience the most comfortable and enjoyable, more lounge areas with cushioned teak lounge chairs and umbrellas have been added throughout the grounds surrounding the free-form pool. The Alexandra Resort also features a new workout facility with state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment. The gym offers an ocean view location at the front of the resort. Other recently added resort-based amenities include a personal concierge service to assist guests with all of their special requests, such as dinner reservations and car rentals; plus a tour and activities desk operated by the superb Caicos Dream Tours, which gives priority treatment to guests of the resort.

During its expansion year, special offers are available at The Alexandra Resort, including the Sand & Sea $ Saver which is valid through December 15, 2006. Guests will receive their sixth and seventh night free by booking a seven night stay plus a $100 food and beverage certificate that can be used at The Alexandra Resort's restaurant and bar. Guests who book a five night stay will receive their fifth night free plus a $100 food and beverage certificate for use at The Orchid. This special is only valid with bookings of one- and two-bedroom deluxe ocean view and luxury beachfront suites. Rates begin at $370 for a one- bedroom ocean view suite.
