True North Receives Marriott's Partnership Circle Award
OVERLAND PARK, KS, June 7, 2006. True North Hotel Group, Inc., a national hotel development and management company based here, was for the second year in a row presented with Marriott International's Partnership Circle Award at the company's annual select-service and extended-stay Owners Conference, held last month at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa in Tucson.
Marriott's Partnership Circle Award salutes franchise companies that perform in the top ten percent in excellence in the following categories: hospitality, development, guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction and quality assurance.
Lew Wiens, president and CEO of True North Hotel Group, accepted the award - the highest honor presented to Marriott franchisees - from J.W. (Bill) Marriott, Jr., chairman of Marriott International. The three-day meeting was attended by owners and franchisees of Marriott's five select service and extended-stay brands: Residence Inn, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites.
"Receiving our second consecutive Partnership Circle Award from Marriott is a tribute to all True North Associates who follow our vision of being a performance leader in the hospitality industry," said Wiens. "This award also reinforces the high value we place on our strong relationship with Marriott, a company that shares our vision."
