Thomas Cook Unveils Oz Packages

. October 14, 2008

DECEMBER 12, 2006. Thomas Cook has launched a unique programme of package holidays to Australia, to make visits down under simple and affordable for Britons. In addition to flights, hotels and transfers to destinations all over Australia, Thomas Cook is offering escorted tours, independent itineraries and fly-drives.

Other options include cruising in Cairns, hotel passes and tours by rail. This is the first time that Thomas Cook has offered holidays to Australia within its own program.

Flights are with a choice of scheduled airlines, and the variety of destinations is vast, from the major cities to new South Wales, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and Queensland. New Zealand is also featured, as are South Pacific destinations including Fiji, the Cook Islands and Tahiti. Stopover destinations are also featured in the brochure, such as Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

One of the key innovations in the 196-page brochure, Thomas Cook Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific, are the Discover Downunder itineraries. Thomas Cook offers a choice of three itineraries: Sydney & Southern Queensland over 15 nights; Sydney, Cairns & Brisbane over 18 nights; and Melbourne, Sydney & Cairns over 19 nights. These routes are ideal for first-time visitors to Australia as they provide a manageable tour of Australia's most famous sights and experiences.
