Associated Luxury Hotels Names Bill Light Director of Sales
For Its New National Sales Office In Denver
WASHINGTON, DC, July 11, 2006. Bill Light has been named director of sales of Associated Luxury Hotels' new national sales office in Denver. In this position, Light is responsible for overseeing sales efforts for the Denver office, which just opened in June as Associated Luxury Hotels' 12th national sales office, with other locations from coast to coast. Associated Luxury Hotels has the National Sales responsibilities for its membership of more than 80 of America's premier four- and five-diamond/star quality hotels and resorts plus several extraordinary international hotels and resorts in Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean and Europe.
Light comes to Associated Luxury Hotels from Conferon Global Services, where he served as national sales manager with the responsibility of generating new business for Conferon. Prior to that, he served as the associate director of sales - West Region for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in San Francisco, where he was second in charge of global sales for Starwood's western region. Before that, Light was a Global Account Director for Starwood Hotels' Global Sales Office in Denver for 6 years. Light holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver, a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Denver, and has achieved the designation as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).
