Borgonovo to Head Macdonald Flagship

LONDON, UK, August 8, 2006. Macdonald Hotels and Resorts has appointed Giorgio Borgonovo as Managing Director of its five star flagship hotel, The Macdonald Bath Spa.

Following its 18-month, lb10million refurbishment Mr Borgonovo will spearhead its re-launch, positioning it as one of the finest hotels in Britain; indeed Europe. With vast international hotel management experience gained from working at many of the world's top hotels, including the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, and the Excelsior Gallia Hotel in Milan, Giorgio has so far gained 35 years of industry experience.

Mr Borgonovo has been a senior Macdonald Hotel employee for the last seven years. In his time with the Group, he has held both General Manager and Director roles including the position of Group Quality Director, which entailed evaluating and improving all 65 of the Group's hotels.
