Shingle Creek Appoints Roslyn Powell National Sales Manager

ORLANDO, FL, August 22, 2006. As the Rosen Shingle Creek team continues to work diligently in preparation for its anticipated opening this Sept. 9, Leslie Menichini, Director of Sales and Marketing for the resort, announced the addition of Roslyn Powell as National Sales Manager.

"Roslyn was such a great asset when she represented Rosen Hotels and Resorts as a Midwest sales representative," explains Menichini. "We're fortunate that she decided to join us in Orlando to be part of our team for the excitement of opening and beyond, welcoming guests to this magnificent resort."

As National Sales Manager, Powell will be responsible for contributing to the continued success of the sales team for Rosen Shingle Creek through opening and beyond. Powell will also be charged with growing the national sales for the SMERF and diversity markets worldwide and attending to all of the necessary accommodations.

For the past three years, Powell has been working with Rosen Hotels and Resorts in Chicago as a director of Midwest accounts. There she was responsible for the research and development of new business in the Midwest for the Rosen Plaza, Rosen Centre and Rosen Shingle Creek.

Prior to joining Rosen Hotels, Powell worked extensively with convention centers across America. She was the director of corporate accounts for the Chicago Convention Bureau, director of sales for the regional office for the Dallas Convention Bureau and director of Midwest sales for the Los Angeles Convention Bureau.

Powell has been living in the Orlando area now for one month and looks forward to staying in the Central Florida area for a long time, while growing within the Rosen family.
