JUNE 9, 2009 - Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center hasn't let the national recession and global economic slowdown stop its growth plans. The independent hotel successfully completed an $11 million expansion project - adding to the property an 8,000 square foot meeting center, 6,000 square foot outdoor patio, picturesque gazebo, lush landscaping as well as an eye-catching fountain in a serene pond.

The new meeting center features stunning 16-foot tall ceilings and a thoughtful, beautiful design that allows the space to easily double as a great spot for business travelers attending a conference or board meeting or as the fairy tale room that a bride and groom would expect for their once-in-a-lifetime wedding reception. Top-of-the-line audio-visual technology, gadgets and other amenities ensure that the needs of all types of groups can be accommodated. With the added space, the center will now be able to handle 350 people for a conference or about 500 for a wedding or banquet.

The hotel offers 360 comfortable suites - some with one bedroom and some with two bedrooms - that are set up condominium-style and are much larger than your average hotel room. Its pub stays open until late at night for those who wish to enjoy a cocktail after a long day. The Starving Artists Caf'e, which opens for lunch daily, offers more of a deli atmosphere.
