Bambu Bar to Craft Exotic Cocktails at Mandalay Bay

. June 15, 2009

JUNE 15, 2009 - Escape from the Las Vegas heat and enjoy handcrafted cocktails when Bambu Bar opens this month at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. This chic, yet casual beach-walk bar will boast the finest build-your-own Bloody Mary in town and is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunrise Bellini or after-work Martini.

Featuring 2,400 square feet of covered outdoor seating, Bambu Bar will combine elegant d'ecor with a friendly island vibe. The design team from Jones Greenwald mixes an earthy color palette, which will complement Bambu Bar's natural environment. Green and yellow cushions will adorn comfortable patio chairs, which will surround large circular tables crafted from a 100-year-old recycled Western Red Cedar tree that was decommissioned from a British Columbia forestry service road. Oversized umbrellas and a state-of-the-art misting system will cover tables and provide patrons with an oasis of cool relaxation. The bar will also boast a fire-pit, which will further add to the venue's ambiance. The main bar will be adorned with an oversized Corian bar top and a large plasma television so customers can catch up on the latest news or sporting event.

The Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary will be Bambu Bar's signature drink. Guests will be able to combine the custom tomato juice base and Russian Standard Vodka with more than 40 ingredients such as fresh peppers, herbs, salts and peppercorns. Other top-tier libations will include the Black Bambutini, the Raspberry Cosmopolitan and three mojitos: pineapple, blueberry and mango.

Bambu Bar is located just steps away from the Mandalay Bay Beach, which offers a wave pool, lazy river, three swimming pools, jogging track and 2,700 tons of real sand. Bambu Bar will be open daily from sunrise to sunset. For more information, call 702-632-7777.
