JUNE 29, 2009 - The 242-room Saratoga Hilton situated on Broadway in the heart of historic Saratoga Springs in beautiful upstate New York, will be debuting a new restaurant this fall, the Union Grille. Developed by local restaurateurs, Louis Brindisi and his son, Andy, owners of popular Brindisi's Restaurant & Bar in Saratoga Springs, Union Grille will offer customers American cuisine in a relaxed contemporary setting and fun atmosphere, specifically a "Gastropub"-style concept. Gastropub is a British term for a public house which specializes in high quality food at an affordable price in a "casual-meets-refined" atmosphere that welcomes diners and bar-goers alike.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Louis and Andy, on this project," said Ron Day, General Manager, at The Saratoga Hilton. "Their solid reputation in the local restaurant scene as well as the community exemplifies their passion, creativity and innovation for creating fine cuisine and running a superb operation. The Brindisi's have cemented their status in the Saratoga region with local patrons, out-of-town visitors and dignitaries alike over the years and we look forward to having their newest venture at our hotel."

"My father and I look forward to our association with The Saratoga Hilton and serving their guests with our unique brand of cuisine," said Andy Brindisi. "Conrad Hilton, is the father of American hospitality and we are honored to be opening our new restaurant at a Hilton property where we will provide their loyal customers with a cuisine comprised of the freshest and finest ingredients," Brindisi added.

Union Grille will be situated in the space of the hotel's former restaurant, Chez Sophie. The new concept, will offer traditional American fare such as steaks, chops and fresh seafood in a contemporary setting and unpretentious atmosphere. Union Grille will also feature a fun and attractive bar providing a welcoming setting for casual conversation and serve an array of imaginative cocktails as well as a diverse wine and beer list. The Brindisi's will also oversee the Saratoga Hilton's in-room dining operation and both operations will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Active in both civic and community affairs, Andy Brindisi is the current President of the Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association and is actively involved with other local community boards and charitable organizations.

The Union Grille is scheduled to open October 1st.
