Caroline Czirr Named CDOS for Magnolia Hotels

DENVER, CO, July 23, 2009 - Magnolia Hotels, a Denver-based hotel development and management company, today announced Caroline H. Czirr has been appointed to the position Corporate Director of Sales for the growing company. Czirr brings 15 years' hospitality management experience, including serving 12 years in numerous capacities for the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group.

Czirr most recently served for the past two years as General Manager of Sales and Marketing Operations for Continuum Partners in Denver, handling the marketing and sales operations for The Belmar Center, Lucky Strike Lanes- Belmar, and The Laboratory of Arts and Ideas. Previously, she served as Director of Marketing and Special Projects for the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group, where she developed new Kimpton initiatives such as the "Forgot It, We've Got It" program tailored to women travelers with unique honor bar items in guestrooms, and also assisted in the creation of the Kimpton Cares community relations initiative, which created and supported numerous community-based fundraising events.

During her 12 years with Kimpton, Czirr also served as National Brand Manager, representing Kimpton in major cities including San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Salt Lake City, New Orleans and Washington D.C.; as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Hotel Monaco Denver, Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, and the Sky Hotel in Aspen; and was the opening Director of Sales and Marketing for The Hotel Monaco Denver.

Czirr was named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year by the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group in 2004 and was recognized to the Denver Business Journal's "40 Under 40" list of young leaders in 2002. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Film Commission since 205, and on the Governing Council of the Kempe Foundation. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success from 2004 to 2007. Czirr holds a bachelor's degree in Communication and Fine Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
