Seattle Hotel Association Appoints New Board of Directors
Julia Schroeder Elected President
SEATTLE, WA, August 20, 2009 - The Seattle Hotel Association (SHA), a non-profit organization that promotes the economic well being of Seattle's hospitality industry, announced its 2009-2010 Board of Directors, led by Julia Schroeder as president. As a long-time member of Seattle Hotel Association's board of directors, Schroeder, the managing director at Hotel "Andra, has long supported the organization's efforts in promoting tourism and hospitality for the city.
Other new directors include Howard Cohen, vice president/general manager of Clise Properties' hotel division, as vice president; Don Dennis, general manager of Hotel Deca, as treasurer and David Sullivan, general manager of the Pan Pacific Hotel, as secretary.
Schroeder has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. She began her career with Four Seasons Hotel Seattle in 1985 in operations and worked her way through sales and marketing at the Sorrento Hotel and the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. Prior to joining Hotel "Andra, she served as general manager of the Bellevue Club Hotel in Bellevue, Washington. Schroeder serves on various hospitality boards, such as the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau, Washington State Hotel & Lodging Association and the International Board of Directors for Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

The Seattle Hotel Association (SHA) is a non-profit, voluntary organization comprising of 58 member hotels located in the City of Seattle. SHA works to generally promote the economic well being of the hospitality industry in Seattle.
