Rocco Forte Names New Senior Management at Hotels de Russie and Savoy

SEPTEMBER 9, 2009 - The Rocco Forte Collection is pleased to announce four new executive appointments at the legendary Hotel de Russie in Rome and the historic Hotel Savoy in Florence. The properties belong to The Rocco Forte Collection and are known worldwide for their impeccable hospitality and exclusive design.

Stefano Gegnacorsi has been appointed as General Manager of the Hotel de Russie. Mr. Gegnacorsi has extensive experience in the hotel sector having previously worked with the most exclusive hotels in Italy and abroad. Most recently, Mr. Gegnacorsi was General Manager of Hotel Savoy in Florence, during which he received numerous accolades, including scoring the highest quality rating ever recorded by Leading Hotels of the World. Prior to joining The Rocco Forte Collection, Mr. Gegnacorsi was General Manager of the renowned Palazzo Sasso in Ravello and previously was Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Eden in Rome.

Mr. Gegnacorsi says: "Coming back to Rome, my native city, and becoming General Manager for the most exclusive hotel in the capital gives me great satisfaction and offers me an excellent challenge as I aim to continue and grow the significant success already achieved by the Hotel de Russie team."

Alberto Pirozzini has replaced Stefano Gegnacorsi as General Manager of the Hotel Savoy in Florence. Mr. Pirozzini has a wealth of experience in the luxury hotel sector. Most recently he was General Manager for the Lungarno Hotel in Florence and previously spent six years with the Ritz Carlton group in California, Bahamas, Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands. He started his career with Four Seasons in the US.

Anna Gricini has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for both the Hotel De Russie and Hotel Savoy. Ms. Gricini has extensive experience in sales and marketing having held senior positions at both Hilton International and more recently Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Since 2000, Ms. Gricini has developed and managed sales and marketing strategies for Starwood's properties in Milan. In 2003, she became Director of Sales & Marketing for the prestigious Principe di Savoia Hotel in Milano, successfully managing the repositioning of the Dorchester Collection hotel.
