SILVER SSPRING, MD, September 9, 2009 - Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) continues to grow with the announcement of 38 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of August. The openings include hotels in 19 states and 6 countries, adding more than 2,500 rooms to the company's existing 475,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in August include:

Clarion Hotel - West Covina, Calif.

The Clarion Hotel near Fairplex in West Covina, just minutes from downtown Los Angeles, features free continental breakfast, free wireless high-speed Internet throughout, an outdoor pool, a cocktail lounge, a business center, an exercise room and free weekday newspapers.
