Crestline Appoints Ronald C. Paynter GM Marriott Plaza San Antonio
FAIRFAX, VA / SAN ANTONIO, TX, October 26, 2009 - Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced the appointment of Ronald C. Paynter as General Manager for the Marriott Plaza San Antonio. Mr. Paynter has been with Crestline for several years on a special General Manager task force acting in a variety of operations positions. The Marriott Plaza San Antonio is a 251 room, upscale hotel and is located in the heart of San Antonio's downtown, just steps from the famous Riverwalk.
Mr. Paynter brings more than 30 years of hospitality industry management experience to this position. He began his career with Marriott International and held several positions at leading Marriott Hotels and Resorts throughout the U.S. While with Crestline Hotels he has served in several interim General Manager positions including the Crowne Plaza Englewood, NJ, the Hotel Derek, Houston, and the Hilton Parsippany, NJ. He also served as interim GM at the Marriott Plaza San Antonio in 2006.

Mr. Paynter has many industry accolades and achievements. In 2005 he was honored with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Austin Hotel & Lodging Association. He has served as Chairman of the Board for the Austin Hotel & Lodging Association, Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Chicago Hotel Sales Management Association, as well as numerous industry board positions.
