2009 HSMAI Gold Adrian Award Winners Announced
Finalists Eligible to Receive Platinum and Best of Show Awards at HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala Feb. 1, 2
DECEMBEER 2, 2009 - The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has announced the 2009 Gold Adrian Award winners, representing the year's best advertising, public relations and web marketing campaigns. The recipients will be honored at HSMAI's annual Adrian Awards Gala on Feb. 1, 2010, at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Out of 1,100 entries, HSMAI awarded 37 advertising gold awards, 53 public relations gold awards and 33 web marketing gold awards. Gold Adrian Award winners become finalists for Platinum Adrian Awards, and the coveted 'Best of Show,' both announced at the Adrian Awards Gala, a multifaceted, black-tie networking event featuring award-winning work, lifetime achievement, and the 'Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing.'
'The entries we received this year showcased the high level of creativity, innovation and aptitude from travel-related industry and agency professionals,' said Fran Brasseux, executive vice president of HSMAI. 'The Adrian Award winners wowed the judges with thought-provoking entries that generated strong ROI.'
Additionally, top achievers will also be considered for specialty awards: DEPARTURES Magazine Luxury Marketing Achievement Award, TravelCLICK eMarketer of the Year Award, and Google's Wisdom of the Crowd Award. TripAdvisor will also be presenting its Travelers' Choice Best Hotels and Brands Awards at the Adrian Awards Gala for the first time.
Recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions and lasting impressions on the hospitality and travel industry, HSMAI will present Lifetime Achievement awards to Sol Kerzner, founder, chairman and CEO of Kerzner International Holdings Limited, and Vivian A. Deuschl, corporate vice president of public relations for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Kerzner will be recognized with the Albert E. Koehl Award for Advertising and Deuschl will receive the Winthrop W. Grice Award for Public Relations.

Tables and tickets for the HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala are on sale now. Tables of 10 can be reserved for $3,500 or $350 per ticket if purchased by Jan. 11, 2010; the price increases to $3,750 per table or $375 per ticket after Jan. 11.
