W Hollywood Hotel & Resiences Recognized by Southern Califonria Development Forum with 2009 Presidential Award
Gatehouse Capital, W Hollywood Developer Will be Honored with Special SCDF Presidential Award on Dec
LOS ANGELES, CA, December 8, 2009 - On December 8th, the Southern California Development Forum (SCDF) will honor Gatehouse Capital with the SCDF 2009 Presidential Award for the W Hollywood Hotel & Residences during the organization's highly anticipated Design Awards event. The $350 million landmark property will open in January with 143 W branded residences and a 305-room W hotel.

The SCDF Design Awards recognize outstanding design contributions and commitment to the business environment and the communities in Southern California. As one of Southern California's premiere real estate organizations, SCDF members include commercial and industrial real estate developers, real estate attorneys, financial institutions, land use planners, architects, engineers, contractors, brokers and real estate leaders.

This year, the SCDF Design Awards will be given to deserving projects submitted in the following categories: commercial/mixed use buildings, institutional buildings (civic, education, healthcare), residential buildings (all scales), hospitality, interiors and the outstanding concept/unbuilt award.
The Design Awards will be held on Tuesday, December 8 from 7:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at the Luxe Summit Hotel in Bel Air. The awards were chosen by a prestigious jury whose members include: Clare DeBriere, The Ratkovich Group; Ted Hyman, ZG; Warren Jacobs, CSU; and Dan Rosenfeld, Office of County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.
