Magnolia Promotes Six Executives to VP

DENVER, CO, January 9, 2007. Denver-based Magnolia Hotels today announced several promotions.

The following have been promoted:

Scooter Yates to executive vice president;

Scot Cameron to vice president of acquisitions & development;

Mike Pratt to vice president of sales & marketing;

Chris Scheer to vice president of finance;

Nick Marcovecchio to vice president of operations and administrative services and

Jeff Parker as vice president of information systems.

All will be based out of the Magnolia Hotels corporate office in Denver, with the exception of Scooter Yates, who will remain in Dallas, TX.

H.L. Scooter Yates, executive vice president, has served as the general manager of the Dallas Magnolia Hotel since December 2003. A seasoned hotel executive with more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, Yates is renowned for his ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and set plans into action. Yates will continue to serve as general manager of the Dallas property, in addition to serving as executive vice president. In his new role, Yates will be responsible for the operations and profitability of the Magnolia Hotels. He will oversee revenue management and the central reservations office.

Scot Cameron, vice president of acquisitions & development, previously served as the corporate director of finance and development. Cameron will be responsible for all new acquisitions and the overall development of the Magnolia Hotels brand.

Mike Pratt, vice president of sales & marketing, previously served as the Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing. Pratt will continue to oversee all of the sales, marketing and public relations functions of Magnolia Hotels and will play an active role in the development of new properties to the portfolio.

Chris Scheer, vice president of finance, previously served as corporate controller. Scheer will be responsible for all accounting and transactions from new developments, in addition to hotel financing and will oversee the property level controllers.

Nick Marcovecchio, vice president of operations and administrative services, previously served as director of human resources. Marcovecchio will oversee quality assurance, human resources, benefits, compensation and training.

Jeff Parker, vice president of information systems, previously served as director of information services. Parker will be responsible for all aspects of technology at the hotels and company.
