HFTP Seeking the Next Leaders of the Association
AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA - (March 3, 2010) - Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) relies on the collective vision, knowledge and experience of its members to help make the association the best it can be for its members and the industry. HFTP is encouraging members to become more involved with HFTP by being a part of its leadership. The association is currently seeking out members for officer and director positions on the 2010-2011 HFTP Board of Directors. Completed applications are due to HFTP by March 17, 2010.
After a new HFTP bylaw change, the Nominating Committee now consists of several HFTP global past presidents and other HFTP leaders. This group will interview and select the next generation of global leaders during a meeting May 1 at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport Hyatt Regency. The committee is looking for industry professionals that are strategic thinkers and have the ability to see the big picture to join the HFTP Global Board and Executive Committee.
"When I first made the decision to run for the Global Board, I wanted to give back to the association at least a part of what it has given me. But I've found that the more involved I've gotten with HFTP, the more I've grown professionally and the greater are my connections to industry colleagues and friends," said Terry Price, CHAE, CHTP, CPA, HFTP Global president and CIO of the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa. "I encourage HFTP members to volunteer their time and talents to better the association and lead it into the new decade."
The Board of Directors Application is available on the HFTP web site. Those interested in applying for the Board of Directors or the Executive Committee should contact Sara Bailiff, HFTP executive assistant, at Sara.Bailiff@hftp.org, (800) 646-4387 x22 or +1 (512) 249-5333 x22.
