Red Marlin Celebrates Easter with Eggs - Travagant Coastal Brunch Buffet and Egg-Citing Treats for Kids

(SAN DIEGO) March 3, 2010 - Guests are invited to hippity hop over to Red Marlin for a distinctly San Diego Easter experience on Sunday, April 4, complete with beautiful coastal views and a bountiful California-modern menu. The “eggstravaganza” includes a bayside brunch buffet at the award-winning Red Marlin restaurant and complimentary festive activities for kids.

When not hiding eggs in and around the pool deck and event lawn areas for children, the Easter Bunny will make surprise visits to the restaurant throughout the morning. The egg hunt starts at 10 a.m. and egg decorating will also be available for children starting at 2 p.m. The Easter children's activities are complimentary to Red Marlin brunch patrons and guests of the hotel.

“Red Marlin's panoramic views and delightful menu make it the ideal place for family and friends to enjoy Easter,” said the Director of Food and Beverage Gilbert Santana. “We also have put together some fun activities to keep kids entertained so that the adults can have a relaxing brunch experience.”

Chef de Cuisine Danny Bannister has prepared a copious brunch menu with “fresh, spring flavors.” Guests can enjoy the brunch menu in the sophisticated dining room or casual outdoor terrace.

Brunch highlights include an array of breakfast options including an Omelet Stations, Waffles Made to Order, Smoked Salmon served with Einstein Bagels, a delicious assortment of freshly baked Breakfast Pastries, Seasonal Fruit and Domestic and Imported Cheeses. Additionally, there will be a display of Chilled Seafood including Oysters, Shrimp and Tuna Tataki. A seasonal salad station features such items as Spinach and Mixed Greens, Grilled Vegetables and Tomato Caprese, Pasta Salad with Grilled Asparagus, Charred Peppers and White Balsamic and Wild Rice Salad with Toasted Almonds and Apricots. Main dishes include Sumac Dusted New York Sirloin, Brown Sugar Glazed Ham, Garlic and Rosemary Crusted Leg of Lamb and Seafood Paella with Saffron Scented Rice. A dessert extravaganza awaits guests with Layer Cakes, Cupcakes, Petite Pastries, Seasonal Pies and Holiday Cookies.

In addition to the adult buffet, children will also be able to enjoy items from the Fun Kids Buffet with menu items including Chicken Nuggets, Curly Fries, Corn on the Cob and Baby Corn Dogs.

Red Marlin's Easter Brunch Buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 4, and is $49 per person, $25 for kids within the ages of 5-12 (children 4 and under are free).
