Adrian Gonzalez Appointed DO at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort
Bedford Springs, PA - (April 8, 2010) - The Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Gonzalez as Director of Operations. A seasoned manager with more than two decades of experience, Gonzalez will oversee Rooms and Food & Beverage at the historic 2,200-acre luxury resort, which counts 216 guest rooms, five dining outlets and extensive banqueting and catering operations.
“Adrian has a true passion for the most creative side of hospitality and an impressive record managing Food & Beverage at properties across the U.S. and Mexico,” said Scott Stuckey, general manager at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa. “We're pleased to have him overseeing the day to day operations as we gear up for another great summer season.”
Gonzalez joined the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa following three years in management at Destination Hotels & Resorts. Most recently he was Hotel Operations Consultant at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington, and before that he was Hotel Manager and Director of Food & Beverage at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon.
Previously, Gonzalez enjoyed a run with Starwood Hotels, including two years as Director of Food & Beverage for the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California, and the remainder as F&B Director at properties throughout Mexico including Westin Regina Resort in Puerto Vallarta; Sheraton Acapulco Resort; Sheraton Ixtapa Resort; and Sheraton Cancun & Towers. Gonzalez also spent 10 years with Hilton Hotels, most notably as Director of Food & Beverage at Hilton Americas-Houston, as well as at Hilton in the WDW Resort in Orlando, Florida, and Hilton Newark Airport. He got his start in hospitality at Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel & Towers in Mexico City in 1982.
A native of Mexico, Gonzalez earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Tourism Polytechnic University in Mexico City. He is quite passionate about wine and has been certified as a Wine Specialist by the Society of Wine Educators.
