Melanie Boyer Joins Daly Gray Public Relations
JANUARY 16, 2007. Daly Gray Public Relations, a firm specializing in the hospitality industry, today announced that Melanie Boyer has joined the company as account executive.
"Melanie has great hotel genes, having started her career as a summer intern with her father, Skip Boyer, who spent 23 years at Best Western in corporate communications," said Jerry Daly, Daly Gray president. "She has hands-on journalism experience, and her background gives us additional international communications experience. Prior to joining Daly Gray, Boyer was with the Education Development Center, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based international development non-profit, where she was the communications manager for a multi-country project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. In her home state of Arizona, Boyer was the education reporter for The Arizona Daily Sun and a feature writer and columnist for Flagstaff Live!, a weekly entertainment magazine. Prior to coming to Washington, D.C., Boyer spent two years teaching English in West Africa with the Peace Corps.
Boyer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Sociology degree in International Training and Education from the American University in Washington, D.C.
