New World Hospitality Appoints Two Executives

Ivan Suardi as VP- Food and Beverage and Francis Ling as VP- Finance

July 29, 2010 - New World Hospitality has appointed Ivan Suardi as vice president - food and beverage and Francis Ling as vice president - finance.

As vice president - food and beverage, Mr. Suardi will oversee the group's food and beverage concept and design development as well as operation management to establish a leading edge for the company's food and beverage development, product and image.

Mr. Suardi has over 22 years experience in food and beverage, conceptualising new restaurants and supporting the technical and culinary aspects of luxury hotel food and beverage projects. Before joining New World Hospitality, Mr. Suardi was the director of food and beverage projects for Asia Pacific at Hyatt International. He was with Hyatt Hotels for more than 16 years in Hong Kong, Taipei, Manila, Almaty, Jakarta and Dubai. Mr. Suardi started his career as a demi chef de partie at Intercontinental Forum Hotel in the United Kingdom.

In addition to his native Italian, Mr. Suardi speaks English, French and German. He graduated from Istituto Prof. Alberghiero Hotel and Catering College in Italy.

As vice president - finance, Mr. Ling will provide financial leadership to achieve profit, cash flow, and key performance goals in addition to a strategic role to explore business opportunities and create competitive advantages for the group.

Mr. Ling has over 25 years experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus in international luxury hotel groups. Mr. Ling's most recent position was vice president of finance for Marco Polo Hotels Management Ltd. Mr. Ling supervised the corporate and hotel finance, legal and development, procurement and information technology functions of the worldwide Marco Polo group. Mr. Ling also contributed to the business strategic planning and policy, system and brand development of Marco Polo Hotels.

Previously, Mr. Ling held various executive positions in the Hyatt Group for over 20 years, including the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Hyatt Regency Tianjin and Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove. His last position with Hyatt was as Hyatt International director of corporate finance - Asia Pacific Ltd., focusing on international tax planning and corporate governance across the group.

Hong Kong-based New World Hospitality manages the New World Hotels brand of deluxe properties in Dalian, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shunde, Wuhan, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila, and the select service pentahotels brand currently represented in Shanghai.
