About Warwick New York Hotel (www.warwickhotelny.com
Warwick New York was built in 1926 by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst as a gift for his love, Hollywood star Marion Davies, and was purchased by Warwick International Hotels in 1980. It features 359 spacious guest rooms and 67 richly appointed suites. Six floors of the hotel have been recently renovated and branded Premier Rooms and Suites, with opulent decor reflecting the vintage Hollywood glamour (married with modern technologies) associated with the hotels' storied past. Additional renovations will begin later in 2010. The restaurant, Murals on 54, was named after the original historic murals painted by the American artist Dean Cornwell in 1937. Randolph's Bar & Lounge offers an enticing and sophisticated atmosphere that is classic New York, with sweeping views of the famous Avenue of the Americas.
