Michael Oprish Appointed GM of The Sebastian

August 11, 2010 - Michael Oprish has been appointed General Manager at The Sebastian, formerly the Vail Plaza Hotel & Club, Vail's most anticipated resort and residence club debuting December 2010. In this role, Oprish will direct and oversee all daily operations and ensure the highest levels of standards are maintained at The Sebastian, Timbers Resorts' newest property.

Formerly the vice president and general manager of The Bernardus Lodge in Carmel, California, Oprish brings more than 25 years of experience in the luxury hotel and travel industry. Armed with experience in all aspects of resort operations and management, Oprish brings his keen sense of sophisticated service and exceptional experiences to Owners and guests. Oprish's resume also includes roles such as general manager of The Quail Lodge in Carmel as well as rooms manager at The Peaks Resort and Spa in Telluride, Colo. and Carefree Resorts in Carefree, Arizona.

Easily accessible from Eagle Vail Airport, The Sebastian will serve as a unique and chic social hub in Vail for Owners, hotel guests and the local community. The 100 guestrooms will offer comfortable, private quarters in which to relax when not wining, dining and taking part in the excitement of one of Colorado's most celebrated towns. The Private Residence Club will be comprised of 38 residences with two different offerings.
