August 17, 2010 - The Westin Westminster is proud to announce that its employees have raised $2,460 for Hillcrest Elementary School in Northglenn. The funds were all donated by Westin Westminster associates as part of Sage Hospitality's “Dollars for Dreams” initiative.

The money will go towards books, educational materials, computers and school supplies for Hillcrest Elementary. Westin Westminster associates presented a check for the donated funds to more than 60 Hillcrest staff members at a ceremony held this morning at the hotel.

“Dollars for Dreams” is part of Denver-based Sage Hospitality's Best in Class program, a nationwide school partnership that connects employees with at-risk schools launched last year in celebration of the company's 25th anniversary

Managed by Sage Hospitality, The Westin Westminster is ideally situated halfway between Denver and Boulder. The 369-room hotel features more than 30,000 square feet of unique event space, an indoor heated lap pool, an outdoor spa, a fully equipped fitness center and O's Restaurant. In June, the hotel installed 139 state-of-the-art solar panels on its roof, making it the first hotel in Colorado to be partially solar powered. The Westin Westminster is located at 10600 Westminster Boulevard in Westminster, Colorado.
