NEW YORK, NY - September 9, 2010 - The iconic Trump International Hotel & Tower® New York, the flagship property of the growing Trump® Hotel Collection, emerged from its extensive, $30 million renovation on Tuesday, with a modern sensibility befitting the next generation of luxury hospitality.
The multimillion-dollar redesign of the Forbes Five-Star Hotel's 176 guest rooms and suites was directed by Ivanka Trump and Donald J. Trump.
Ivanka chose a rich palette of gray and aubergine with accents of ivory and caramel for a sophisticated, urban feel. Seating in plush, high-contrast upholstered velvets and silky fabrics is paired with rich rosewood, mahogany, maple and walnut finishes. Luxe shagreen fabric, burnished gold leaf, bronze, mirror and glass add glamorous touches, along with sumptuous purple velvet draperies and opulent silk accent walls.
Some of Mr. Trump's signature grand touches are apparent, including the dazzling, handcrafted Schonbek crystal chandeliers surmounting each dining table, and the immense, 55" flat-screen televisions in each bedroom and living room.
