Choice Hotels Europe Makes New Sales Appointment
Strengthens UK travel trade relations
November 5, 2010 - Choice Hotels Europe's UK division, the company behind the Comfort™, Quality™ and Clarion® brands, today announced the appointment of Samantha Davies to Account Manager, UK. Reporting to Brian Garvan, Director of UK Sales, Miss Davies will be responsible for a portfolio of UK-based travel management company, travel agency and corporate-focused booking agency accounts.
A native of South Wales and a graduate of Brunel University in London, Samantha most recently worked for Ramada Jarvis hotels as Cluster Sales Manager for the West of England and Wales.
Brian Garvan, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Samantha to our sales team. We have corporate sales efforts at many levels throughout the organisation - global, international, pan-European and nationally, all working to ensure that we can provide TMCs and corporates with competitive pricing in all our franchised properties.“
Choice Hotels Europe also announced that it had signed a new preferred supplier agreement in the UK and Ireland with BSI. This follows global agreements signed earlier in the year by Choice Hotels with American Express Travel Services, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and BCD Travel. Other recently-signed agreements in the UK include Cooperative Travel Management, Calder and Bookotel amongst others.
