Plans New Look Freshens, Brightens and Utilizes Space
Cambridge, MA - December 17, 2010 - The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square announced plans to update its meeting and public spaces. Renovations are slated to be complete by February 2011.
To brighten and enhance the hotel's interiors, upgrades including new carpet, wall covering and lighting will be added to the third floor. Updates to the conference center include state-of-the-art presentation LCD monitors in all meeting rooms and new audio visual and acoustic technologies for business use.
Throughout the renovations, The Charles will stay true to its contemporary New England aesthetic by preserving the original architectural intent. Modern and Shaker-inspired interior furnishings such as rich leather and fabric Le Corbusier chairs, Hans Wegner's Peacock Chairs, and artwork and lighting by notable artists and local craftsman reflect the Hotel's intellectual environment and casual appeal for which it is known.
