German Herrera y Cairo Promoted to DoS at Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort

December 23, 2010 - Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa, a Preferred Hotel destination located on Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico, has elevated German Herrera y Cairo to the position of director of sales.

Herrera y Cairo, who previously served as Sales Manager at the Four Diamond, Five-Star, 186-room property, will oversee sales plans and strategies, reporting directly to general manager Victor Gomez. He brings more than 20 years of experience in operations and sales and marketing in the hospitality industry.

Gomez said of the appointment: “German has been a key member of our sales team since the hotel's opening in 2008, helping take our property to number one in market share. When this position became available, I knew he was the right man for the job.”

Prior to joining Casa Dorada, he served in a variety of roles within the sales and marketing division at Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa Hotel Los Cabos, culminating as Senior Sales Manager; as such, collaborated in the opening of its 150 room sister property, Hacienda Encantada. He also received valuable experience in hotel management as Operations Coordinator at Villas del Palmar Hotel Cabo San Lucas, and prior to that, in various operation functions at the Melia San Lucas Resort.

Herrera y Cairo is a graduate of the University of Mazatlan where he earned a degree in Tourism Management. He is originally from Mazatlan, Mexico.
