Tropicana Announces New VP Table Games
Steve Callender brings over 30 years of experience to the Trop's executive team
December 28, 2010 - Tropicana Casino & Resort today announced the appointment of Atlantic City gaming industry veteran, Steve Callender, to the position of its Vice President of Table Games.
"I am confident that Steve will be a great asset to our company, both now and well into the future," said Mark Giannantonio, President & CEO of Tropicana Casino & Resort.
Over the last 32 years, Callender built his highly-regarded reputation beginning his career path as a dealer at Resorts when that first Atlantic City casino debuted in 1978. He quickly worked his way up the ranks over the next decade to Vice President of Casino Operations before making the jump to the Atlantic City Hilton as its Casino Manager.
Callender continued to build his resume as the Senior Vice President of Table Operations at Bally's Atlantic City, where he played an instrumental role in melding the Claridge Casino into the Bally's brand. Following that task, Callender came full circle back to Resorts as its Senior Vice President of Operations over the last four years.
Callender, a graduate of Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), will oversee the business of Tropicana Casino & Resort's table games.
