Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown Welcomes Charles Cho as General Manager
Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, IHG's flagship Indigo property, proudly announces the hiring of Charles Cho as General Manager. A hospitality veteran with nearly 30 years of industry experience, Cho brings a people-first leadership philosophy and an energizing vision for the hotel as a destination for locals and travelers alike.
In this new role, Cho will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 350-room property, with a focus on positioning Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown as a go-to spot in the heart of Downtown LA. His leadership style is centered around values he believes empower associates while creating authentic and memorable guest experiences.

Cho joins the property following his tenure as General Manager at Omni San Diego Hotel, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic insight while successfully leading a top-to-bottom renovation, repositioning the hotel as a luxury destination. His career spans prominent roles at premier properties including Newport Beach Marriott Bayview, The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, and Sheraton Grand Sacramento. Earlier in his career, Cho opened Asia's first W Hotel in Seoul, adding to his understanding of global hospitality trends and international travelers.
A seasoned leader, Cho has consistently elevated guest experiences by optimizing operational efficiencies, team development, and championing service excellence. Known for his hands-on leadership style and commitment to building inclusive, culturally rich environments, Cho has been instrumental in driving hotel performance and guest satisfaction across his career.

Cho holds an MBA from Tulane University and a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Food Service Management from New York University. Originally from New York, his hospitality journey began as a front desk agent and has since expanded to leading hospitality brands across multiple cities. Outside of the hotel, Charles is a devoted family man and an avid golfer.
