. February 03, 2011

Stowe, VT - February 1, 2011 - Mark Hickey, senior vice president of operations for Destination Hotels & Resorts announced Heinrich von Puschendorf as director of operations at Stowe Mountain Lodge, effective December 2010. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry von Puschendorf will be responsible for the operation of the 312 Stowe Mountain Lodge, all food and beverage outlets, front office and concierge services.

von Puschendorf brings more than two decades of industry expertise to Stowe Mountain Lodge with background managing boutique hotels to private clubs to sprawling 400-room resorts, including a cumulative of eight years at other Destination Hotels & Resorts properties in Colorado, New York and New Jersey. His most recent position with the company was director of operations at Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center where he led operations during a $12 million property-wide restoration.

“My previous experience with other Destination Hotels & Resorts properties have been pivotal in my development as a hospitality professional, and I look forward to continuing to grow with the company in this new role leading operations at Stowe Mountain Lodge”, von Puschendorf noted. “I am thrilled to be joining a strong, dedicated team with a commitment to excellence. Our unique focus on providing an exceptional guest experience, sustainability, quality and personal attention are the trademarks of Stowe Mountain Lodge and the characteristics of the one-of-a-kind experience we offer.”

Stowe Mountain Lodge opened the South Wing in December 2010, which increased the number of accommodations from 139 to 213. This new addition has brought in more guests to the lodge than ever before, and von Puschendorf looks upon this new challenge and has already begun to alter current procedures and service infrastructures to accommodate the new guests.
