Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina Appoints New Executive Assistant Manager

20-Year Professional Brings Industry Expertise to Management Post

SAN DIEGO, CA - April 19, 2011 - The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina announced today that Michael P. Connolly has been hired as executive assistant manager. In his new role, Connolly will direct and oversee the Hyatt's day-to-day room operations, including the spa and marina operations.

With 20 years of in-depth experience in the hotel industry, Connolly most recently served as assistant general manager of hotel operations at the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort and was executive assistant manager at the Hyatt Valencia from 2005-2008. Throughout his career, he has held a wide variety of sales and managerial positions, having launched his hospitality career with Hyatt more than 18 years ago. His experience includes serving in leadership roles at Hyatt properties across the country and in the Caribbean, including the Manchester Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Hyatt Regency St. Lucia and Hyatt Regency Chicago, among others.

Connolly is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
