May 4, 2011 - The InterContinental Tampa recently named Matt Kido as the new executive meeting manager. In this position, Kido is responsible for all groups with 20 or less rooms. Kido works with the groups from start to finish managing all aspects of the meeting from reservations and pre-planning to execution and completion. Kido worked most recently as a convention service manager at the Crowne Plaza Tampa East. Prior to that, Kido worked for six years for the Holiday Inn Harrisburg/Hershey in a variety of capacities ranging from food and beverage to sales. Kido, a Pennsylvania native, graduated with a bachelor of science in marketing from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.
