The Peabody Orlando Names Michael Jueds Director of Engineering
Orlando, FL - May 19, 2011 - The Peabody Orlando is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Jueds to the position of director of engineering. In this role, Jueds will be responsible for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Jueds will also be accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation on the property.

Jueds brings more than 11 years of progressive and executive level experience in sustainable facilities construction and maintenance management to The Peabody Orlando. He most recently served as director of property operations at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, Calif., where he was responsible for the direction of the pre-opening and ongoing maintenance operations of the high-rise convention hotel consisting of 1.2 million square feet. While in this capacity, he spearheaded the hotel's sustainability initiatives which included the structuring and implementation of the first hotel-based food recycling program in San Diego, along with a comprehensive guestroom amenity and linen diversion/donation program.
Jueds earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Facilities Management from the University of Wisconsin. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and an IFMA Certified Facility Manager.
