Aston Hotels & Resorts Names Asami Arita as Director of Asia and International Sales
HONOLULU, HI - June 7, 2011 - Aston Hotels & Resorts has named Asami Arita the new director of Asia and international sales. Arita brings extensive experience to her new position. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa school of Travel Industry Management and a degree in Foreign Language from DeKalb College in Atlanta, Georgia.
She served as the coordinator of Japan sales and marketing for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, then as Asia senior sales manager for the Waikiki Parc Hotel. Most recently she was Asia senior sales manager with Halekulani Corporation for both the Halekulani and Waikiki Parc Hotel.
At HVCB she was responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with travel industry partners in Japan. She translated online industry updates into Japanese and played a key role in successfully coordinating the 2003 State of Hawaii Ohana Mission to Japan.
