The Benjamin's Chef Concierge Joins Ranks of the Esteemed Les Clefs d'Or USA
NEW YORK - July 6, 2011 - The Benjamin, a boutique luxury hotel centrally located in New York City on Lexington Avenue and 50th Street, is proud to announce the recent acceptance of Anna Orlanska, Chef Concierge into the esteemed Les Clefs d'Or USA concierge association.
“Les Clefs d'Or is recognized as the most prestigious concierge association in the world, with an extremely rigorous membership process, making acceptance all the more of an honor,” said Andrew Labetti, General Manager of The Benjamin. “We are so proud of Anya's achievement; her hard work, professionalism and integrity shines through the faces of our satisfied guests.”
Les Clefs d'Or USA is the only national association of professional hotel concierges in the United States. Representing more than 100,000 hotel rooms nightly at more than 25 four and five star properties across the country, members of Les Clefs d'Or (“keys of gold” in French) wear a lapel pin of crossed gold keys, the international symbol of the organization. The keys displayed on a concierge's uniform lapels assure travelers they are dealing with a seasoned professional, one who is dedicated to serving the guests' every need.
Orlanska was appointed Chef Concierge at The Benjamin hotel in 2007. In addition to this role, Anya also serves as the hotel's official Sleep Concierge, the first and only in the country. As Sleep Concierge, Orlanska's mission is to help guests receive a good night's sleep, courtesy of the hotel's comprehensive sleep program. From counseling guests on pillow selections from The Benjamin's 12-pillow menu to delivering other sleep amenities such as white noise machine, extra blankets and lavender essential oil from the spa, Orlanska supports the Benjamin's Sleep Guarantee which ensures that everyone who stays at The Benjamin walks away well rested or gets a free night's stay. Prior to employment at The Benjamin, Orlanska served as concierge at The New York Palace Hotel.
