Hyatt Regency Tamaya Welcomes New GM
July 6, 2011 - The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, located between Santa Fe and Albuquerque in New Mexico, announces Colleen Kareti as its new general manager. Kareti comes to the Hyatt Regency Tamaya from the Hyatt Regency Irvine, in Irvine, Calif.
“I am thrilled to be joining New Mexico's most awarded resort as its general manager,” said Colleen Kareti, general manager at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. “I look forward to working with all of the resort's employees and getting involved in the community. It is my goal to grow upon the resort's tradition of providing a unique and memorable experience for all of our guests.”
Kareti brings 30 years of Hyatt Corporation experience to the Hyatt Regency Tamaya and has been the general manager for several Hyatt hotels throughout the United States including Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, Hyatt Regency Los Angeles, and Hyatt Rickey's in Palo Alto. Kareti began her career in food and beverage with the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in 1981.
In addition to her experience running several Hyatt properties, Kareti is a five-time nominee for “General Manager of the Year” for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. She has also served on Hyatt's Diversity Council since 1999 and is a founding member of the “Women at Hyatt” board.
