Abbey Resort Continues Providing Cutting-edge Amenities in a Lakeside Environment
Business and Leisure Travelers Alike will Find the New Renovations Welcoming and Refreshing
July 13, 2011 - Just in time for the summer season, The Abbey Resort on Lake Geneva announced new renovations while it continues its tradition of expanding the latest amenities alongside classic charm for a perfect getaway.
Known for its personalized customer service, resort and conference facilities and award-winning Avani Spa, The Abbey Resort has installed new bedding, larger flat-screen LCD TVs, and in-room high-speed wireless Internet access just six years after undergoing a complete, $40-million renovation. That renovation updated every aspect of the luxurious resort from the 334 guest rooms and suites to the restaurants and all the public areas. In 2008, The Abbey's 35,000-square-foot Avani Spa underwent a $1.5million renovation.
The latest renovations and upgrades for each of the 334 luxurious guestrooms and suites enhance The Abbey Resort's Four Diamond initiative, offering guests the highest rating for refined and stylish accommodations, sensitivity to sustainable practices, and outstanding service, hospitality and attention to detail
“These upgrades demonstrate The Abbey Resort's storied history of enhancing our guests' experience,” said David Lindelow, general manager for The Abbey Resort & Spa. “We know our guests expect the latest technologies alongside the most luxurious comforts and we aim to provide just that.”
The result allows business and conference guests to leverage their cutting-edge smartphones, 4G tablets with lightning-fast connectivity. Two additional enhancements to the resorts group amenity base include the new Harbor Patio adjacent to the resort's Waterfront Restaurant and overlooking the resort's 407 slip marina. The Harbor patio added a new fire pit to enhance the environment for evening events, and will also serve as the base for the resort's ice skating rink in the winter months.
The Resorts 5,500 sq ft. West Shore Pavilion received a welcoming new entrance, chandeliers, and ceiling liner, for a variety of social events.
“The Abbey Resort demonstrates how the only full-service resort on the shores of Lake Geneva leads the way in our community's and our guests' experience. We were recently honored with the 2011 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, which is a testament to the positive experiences our guests have while staying with us,” Lindelow added.
TripAdvisor (www.tripadvisor.com) is the world's largest travel site and a testament of The Abbey's commitment to their guests' satisfaction.
